Portrait of Dr. Raza Pasha
“I was told that I MUST see him!”
“He’s thorough.”
“You can tell Dr. Pasha loves what he does.”

Houston Allergy & ENT Doctor

These are just a few comments patients shared with me after their initial and subsequent encounters with Dr. Raza Pasha and his staff.

I am a seasoned medical writer and I will attest that Dr. Pasha’s practice is genuinely unique. For starters, you’ll never see Dr. Pasha in a white doctor’s coat. He is in his element, donning white sneakers or a smart jacket with a pack of students and doctors taking notes beside him.

Once clinic begins, the hum changes to a buzz as “all hands are on deck” ready to service patients. His team is smartly dressed, a few, artfully tattooed, and by the end of the visit you’ll know each of their names. Sunny, his physician assistant, compliments Dr. P’s style in demeanor, dress, and knowledge and is the acting point man on their team.

Plan on a meaningful conversation on your initial visit as I noted that Dr. P. always makes it a point to address each patient holistically, digging deeper to determine the real cause of your problem for the long-term. He may unapologetically plunge into the personal. Don’t be surprised if he asks you about diet, exercise, or even what’s heavy on your mind. He is truly in the business of wellness. His swagger is smoothly confident.

“I don’t treat X-rays and computer sleep studies, I treat patients!” he states. The clinic is bustling but his seasoned staff floats about with ease and efficiency, capturing every detail as they are aggressively obsessed with patient satisfaction, ready to serve.

This is a legacy practice—cutting edge and uncompromisingly competent.

Dr. Pasha is trained in all fields of Ears, Nose, & Throat Medicine and Head & Neck Surgery, his driving passion is treating allergy, snoring, sleep apnea, and sinus-related disorders and he has distinctive credentials. He’s dual board certificated. First, he is both Board-Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and has a specialty certification in Sleep Medicine. Secondly, he’s earned his credentials as one of the region’s foremost sleep apnea doctor after having performed over 3,600 procedures for snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, or various sinus/nasal disorders. His clinic is totally focused on something so unbelievably important… Breathing and Sleeping both day and night!

Credentials Matter!

Dr. Pasha is an educator at heart and holds several academic appointments, including Clinical Assistant Professor at UTMB School of Medicine. You’ll get that when he speaks with you. It’s a universal comment not only from his patients but also his rotators as his office is popular for students and physicians alike. Dr. Pasha persistently challenges himself and his rotators to “think beyond what is typical,” so they can help involve their patients in their own personal health. This philosophy has led Dr. Pasha to be a nationally recognized leader and innovator in his field. He has helped pioneer several minimally invasive methods to address sinusitis, including performing the 1st in-office balloon sinuplasty procedure in Houston (2010) and the 1st in-office steroid-eluding stent in the United States. Dr. Pasha is also a leader for more advanced surgical procedures, such as the application of the da Vinci robot for sleep apnea. He’s also led several prominent research studies from nasal corticosteroid delivery devices to refining sinus techniques in the office. Dr. Pasha has had the privilege to lecture numerous times throughout the country to peers, residents, medical students, & other healthcare providers in academic settings as a paneled expert or featured speaker.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Pasha is a prolific author and has published several original journal articles from various institutions such as The Cleveland Clinic, Ohio State University, Wayne State University, and the University of Texas – Houston. He is, however, best known for his pocket review book, now in its 5th edition, which has become a staple for residents in training. Dr. Pasha is also a prominent online figure with hundreds of YouTube videos in addition to countless social media posts. Also, he is often invited by the media to be a guest speaker on health-related public programming and is frequently featured on KHOU Channel 11, KPRC Channel 2, The Learning Channel, and several radio stations. He also has featured segments on Great Day Houston and Houston Life.

Dr. Pasha is an advocate for patients and physicians. As co-founder and medical director of Altus Health Management Systems—a consortium of physician-owned medical facilities throughout Texas—he helps empower physicians to provide the highest quality of medical care in their practice. He also is a founder of Altus Accountable Care Entity, a medical group focused on patients’ health outcomes—specifically aimed at closing industry gaps in managed care among the aged, blind, and disabled. Dr. Pasha is also affiliated with the Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and among others.
