Ekele Andrews, DMSc., PA-C
Dr. Andrews specializes in Otolaryngology (ENT) and also works as a Sleep Medicine Physician Assistant. He has a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Clinical Medicine & Medical Education, a Master of Medical Science (MMS) in Physician Assistant Studies, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Biology. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) in the State of Texas.
Dr. Andrews values integrity, compassion, excellence, lifelong learning, patient advocacy, and service, and these guide his clinical practice. I entered the medical profession to serve patients during vulnerable moments in their lives, alleviate suffering, and improve long-term health outcomes. Today, my mission is to deliver exceptional care while educating and empowering patients to participate actively in their own health journey.”
Experience & Expertise
Dr. Andrews is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine, licensed by the Texas Medical Board to practice medicine in Texas. His clinical practice encompasses the diagnosis and management of disorders affecting the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck, as well as sleep-related breathing disorders. He routinely evaluates and treats conditions such as chronic sinus disease, nasal obstruction, hearing disorders, dizziness, sleep apnea, voice disorders, and head and neck pathology.
Dr. Andrews’s experience includes assisting in a wide range of surgical procedures, performing office-based ENT interventions, interpreting sleep studies, and managing patients with complex upper airway conditions. His certification through the NCCPA reflects a commitment to maintaining the highest professional and clinical standards.
Education & Training
Dr. Andrews earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Indiana University, followed by a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University. He subsequently completed a Doctor of Medical Science degree with advanced training in Clinical Medicine and Medical Education. His postgraduate training focused on evidence-based medicine, clinical leadership, medical education, and specialty care. He has received extensive mentorship and specialty training in Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine directly under Dr. Raza Pasha and ENT surgeons, allowing him to develop expertise in both surgical and non-surgical management of upper airway disorders.
Leadership
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Andrews is actively involved in medical education, mentorship, and scholarly work. His doctoral training emphasized leadership development, healthcare quality improvement, and the advancement of evidence-based clinical practice. He has participated in international medical outreach initiatives (MedLife and Berean Global Ministries) and has worked with diverse patient populations across multiple healthcare settings. These experiences have strengthened his cultural competence, adaptability, and commitment to service. As both a clinician and educator, Dr. Andrews remains dedicated to advancing patient care through continuous learning, research, and professional collaboration.
