Dr. Ellis A. Morrow

Dr. Morrow is a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, kinesiologist, clinical researcher, and college professor. He is a premier provider of medical nutrition therapy for sleep apnea, obesity, diabetes, and kidney disease.

Passion

He is uniquely qualified and has the knowledge and skills necessary to address the complex components of weight management, including lifestyle changes, food choices, behavior modification, and physical activity. He believes in empowering patients with the knowledge to make lifestyle choices that result in healthy lives.

Experience & Expertise

Dr. Morrow has over 25 years of experience as a registered dietitian nutritionist and 10 years of experience as a college professor. He is a recognized renal (kidney) disease expert and also specializes in weight management for sleep apnea.

Education & Training

Dr. Morrow holds a Doctoral degree in clinical nutrition from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in kinesiology, and undergraduate degrees in nutrition, psychology, and general studies. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in health sciences at Liberty University. Dr. Morrow is a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the National Kidney Foundation.

Leadership & Recognition

Dr. Morrow is an associate professor, clinical researcher, and program director of Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics at Texas Southern University. He founded a first-of-its-kind postdoctoral research fellowship and received NIH funding for research on sleep apnea metabolism. He has authored numerous articles published in high-impact scientific journals. He is also a reviewer for several such journals and sits on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Renal Nutrition.
