Convenient Sleep Tests That Can Be Performed Accurately at Home in Your Own Bed

Sleep studies are an essential diagnostic tool used to evaluate sleep patterns and identify sleep disorders. These studies provide valuable insights into your sleep quality and help uncover any underlying issues affecting your rest. At Pasha Snoring & Sinus Center, our team of experienced, double board-certified doctors specializes in evaluating sleep studies to assess various sleep disorders.

During a sleep study, you’ll either attach monitors at home in your own bed (home study) or spend the night in a comfortable and specialized sleep center (in-lab study) where you’ll be monitored by trained staff. Home studies are fairly simple and less cumbersome, requiring only monitors on your finger and chest. In-lab studies provide more information and require additional monitors, including those on your scalp, face, chest, and legs, to record various physiological parameters while you sleep, such as brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate, and muscle activity. This data is then analyzed by our sleep specialists to identify any abnormalities in your sleep patterns or disruptions in breathing.

We will review the results of your study in detail during your follow-up appointment and then make recommendations based not only on your sleep study results but your history and physical airway examination.
